Civic Participation

CCTPG believes the strongest advocates in Sacramento are residents from local communities; however, many residents are unfamiliar with the legislative process. To remove this barrier, CCTPG has hosted trainings and workshops, facilitated meetings with legislators and their constituents and prepared residents to testify before committee hearings. As a result, those residents feel empowered to advocate for policies not only at the state level but also in their local communities.

To help residents participate in the legislative process, CCTPG has created numerous training materials. Many of these documents were used for our trainings and workshops.
