Digital Divide

Technology provides many services and opportunities to those who have access to it. However, low-income households trail higher-income households in percentage of computer ownership, Internet access, and broadband access.

To ensure that low-income families still receive the benefits of technology and are able to participate in today's technologically dependent society, community technology programs provide access to and training in technology in low-income communities.

To help community technology programs, CCTPG advocates for policies that support the work of these programs.
