CCTPG's e-Lection Effort

Each year, community technology programs throughout California and the world engage in nonpartisan voter education and information campaigns. CCTPG's first e-Lection Effort, a statewide, nonpartisan on-line voter registration and education drive, kicked off on September 23, 2004, and lasted until Election Day.

Online, residents can register to vote, learn about the views of candidates, read ballot initiatives and follow the election results. And by participating in voter assistance and education, CTCs can promote themselves to both candidates and the media - helping increase interest and support for their programs.

There are many ways in which your organization can launch its own e-Lection effort, and resources have been developed to help you.
